Wonderful classical design with a scene of a woman and two children wearing togas and reading or writing. One child is crying while a dog looks concerned by his side. This child appears to have animal ears poking out of his hair! lovely medium to heavy weight linen and cotton blend. There was a later addition of curtain tape at the top for hanging this lovely valance. A gorgeous find! Wonderful for hanging as is, or deconstructing for small projects, reproduction or collectors! (toile E32)Measurements: This lovely textile measures about 80 (at the top) inches by 12 inches. The bottom that is not gathered measures about 118 inches long.Condition: This piece is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with light storage dust. There are some small holes just near the center on the bottom edge of this textile. There is some light uneven fading on this piece, and a few tiny stains. Really quite lovely condition despite the holes! Condition reflected in the price!7/18/19 less
